EDGE Corps

Evangelism | Discipleship | Growth | Experience

Are you passionate about seeing the gospel transform the lives of university students? Through EDGE Corps® you can serve on a college campus for one or two years, sharing Christ and helping believers grow toward maturity.

EDGE Corps provides an opportunity to move out of your comfort zone as you invest in others, sacrifice to reach college students, initiate new relationships, and serve your leaders, teammates, and students.  You will be part of a team of Navigator staff members who are seeking to reach their campus for Christ and make disciples there.

Joining us will begin an adventure of faith that will stretch you to trust God to use your life as an ambassador for Christ.  You will also be stretched as you trust God to provide for your finances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your primary responsibility is to help your Campus Director and staff team carry out our Navigator calling,

To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom, into the Nations, through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

You will be given leadership training and responsibilities to help lead Bible studies, build relationships with students, and share in evangelism and discipleship.

The EDGE Corps is a minimum one-year internship, which can be extended to a second year. The majority of EDGE Corps staff are asked by their Campus Director to serve a second year.  Many go on to begin a career with The Navigators after their time on EDGE Corps.

The adventure begins in early summer with orientation and training, then fundraising throughout the rest of the summer. The commitment ends after your summer training summit and summer assignment the following year. The hope is after your first year on EDGE, you’ll be part of a summer missions experience in another country or serve as a team leader at one of our Summer Training Programs for students here in the U.S.

EDGE Corps teams are assigned to campuses around the country based on the strategic needs of each campus and region. Every effort is made to match EDGE Corps candidates with a campus team that best compliments their experience, personality, and spiritual gifts. In most cases, pre-placement arrangements are made by the Regional Leader and are discussed with the EDGE Corps staff.  Some new staff are ‘open candidates’- those who are willing to go wherever there is the greatest need and best fit.

The EDGE Corps has three training summits throughout the course of the first year (a total of about 20 days, and an additional two training summits the second year (about 10 days total). These summits consist of workshops led by veteran Navigator staff as well as Bible Studies and discussion times. The main thrust of the EDGE Corps training comes through experiential learning during your time on campus with your campus team.

At your first EDGE orientation, you will receive training to help you raise personal support, which includes: salary, benefits (life and health insurance), and ministry and training expenses.  We are committed to helping you raise the finances necessary to be on campus ministering to students. Our aim is to keep budgets as realistic as possible.

The application process is an important part of the EDGE Corps experience. Throughout the process we spend time in prayer, asking God that He would lead both us and you regarding your future. We are concerned not only about discerning if God has called you to EDGE, but also about helping you, in any way that we can, discern what God’s plan for your future may be.
